Rhonda Barovsky barred from the Courts!!!
The Rhonda Barovsky Victim Support Group has successfully lobbied the Contra Costa and Alameda Courts to bar Rhonda Barovsky from practicing in the Courts. The California Contra Costa Superior Court revoked her approval in Oct 2022 and the Alameda Court followed suit later in the Fall. Congratulations to all those team members who ensured that Rhonda Barovsky will never abuse the court system to harm another family or child!!

What did she do?
Rhonda Barovsky has seemingly committed ethical, civil and criminal violations against her clients for more than a dozen years. These include perjury, filing of false or inaccurate reports to the court, violations of family code statutes, lying under oath, charging clients for services not performed, quid-pro-quo referrals, lying to authorities, etc.
The RBVSG has compiled a list of more than of a hundred such instances; each resulted in harm to children to whom she was obligated to serve.
A Bit of Background
Rhonda Barovsky is a licensed therapist working within the Family Law courts of Alameda and Contra Costa counties, She works as a recommending mediator, custody evaluator and special master. The Courts employ Barovsky to make "recommendations" about children of divorce. In every known case, the Court has blindly adopted Barovsky's recommendations without scrutiny. In the case of the RBVSG members, the court recommendation were based on Ms. Barovsky's fictions, The group has the shared experiences of Barovsky catastrophizing, choosing sides, lying, inciting conflict, and alienating our children, and the loved ones surrounding them.

The original fifteen (15) families / members of the Rhonda Barovsky Victims Support Group are people with diverse cultural backgrounds, education levels, careers, and political views. They share two things: family law cases involving custody in California Superior Court, and being current or former clients of Rhonda Barovsky.
The movement to get Ms. Barovsky out of the court system is gaining momentum but as of this writing (May 2022), Ms. Barovsky still operates within the Family Law system and serves as mediator to some our members who are afraid to come forward for fear of retribution.

A Parent's Worst Fear
My daughter attempted suicide in the 7th grade once Barovsky came into her life. No telling how many other children have attempted or succeeded for that matter. Not to mention the deep emotional damage we among others are now trying to fix. It’s a lifetime of damage that for children is defining and almost impossible to overcome and have any chance at innocence, normalcy, and happiness. She robbed my daughter of that. She is a monster and should be treated and reprimanded accordingly.

A Liar and Cheater
In my case, Rhonda Barovsky was caught manufacturing evidence and lying to the court. To make matters worse, her husband, Attorney Michael Freund threatened me that if I did not stop my involvement with the Rhonda Barovsky Victim Support Group and my advocacy he would use all his "legal powers" to defeat me. Freund / Barovsky sued me for contempt of court and being a vexatious litigant. They lost. That is what you can expect as a client of Barovsky.

RBVSG Has Employed a Victim's and/or Group Therapist
May 12, 2022. The Rhonda Barovsky Victim Support Group, a California Mutual Benefit, 501(c)4 organization has secured the services of am experienced social worker to help member-victims deal with the trauma of being unlawfully estranged from their children. This social worker is available to parents, grandparents, and other family members, etc. Sessions will be held via tele-conference. (This is a big step for the group since a few of the members have decided to come forward but others remain anonymous for fear of retaliation.) Contact us for more info.
We are continuing to develop a Victim's Resources and Toolkit. The Toolkit targets at a broader victim audience helping them realize they are not alone; people in similar situations can be reached for help. The Victim's Resources and Toolkit is being developed in conjunction with MediatorWatch and would serve as a great way for someone to develop a new practice area in an underserved community.

The RBVSG is well-represented in the National Association of Social Workers; as far as we know we are the only organization dedicated to preserving the rights of clients of Social Workers.
April 1, 2022. Last month, the Rhonda Barovsky's Victim Support Group (RBVSG) was recognized as a California Non-Profit Organization and a IRS 501(c)4 Organization. As of this writing the organization has grown to about 20+ affected children and their families across three states. In January, the group helped rescue one child placed in an abusive household. The RBVSG assisted as this child of divorce, now a young women, was heart-warmingly reunited with her loving mother and grandmother. This child has a long way to go but her future is now wide-open.

"I'm a retired social worker and I recognize Barovsky's shenanigans as unethical, unprofessional, and most likely illegal. I filed a complaint against her with Board of Behavioral Science.... Barovsky is a monster. Anything I can do to remove her from licensure, I'm in."
Our members are a distinguished group. One such member is a peer of Barovsky and is starkly critical of her.
Immoral and Unethical
She sided with the other parent in my case because the other parent blew smoke up her ass. She turned on me because I spoke up for myself, didn't immediately do what she recommended and that infuriated her. When I would push back even slightly, she would then recommended something that favored the other parent even more. ... she is a deeply insecure person who needs to be in power and sides with the parent that strokes her the most. All signs of a very broken and insecure person. I have worked with others that follow the money, so that could be part of the issue with RB but I felt it was more about power. She once said "I make orders" or something, then caught herself in the act of basically saying out loud that she knows she has as much power as a judge since recommendations are blindly adopted.
